This encompasses the following:

• Spelling – and yes we do take into consideration the difference in spelling used between the UK and USA. We are used to working with authors from both sides of the Atlantic, and Australia.

• Grammar and punctuation, including, for example, over-use of exclamation marks.

• Sentence structure – whether the prose or dialogue flows and is consistent

• Over-use of words – you’d be surprised at the length of the list we have!

• Repetition of words within a small section – alternatives are usually offered

• Correct use of terminology

• Overall feedback on the manuscript (if requested)

 

We would expect to have two rounds of editing before contract sign-off.

 

Pricing: This service is charged at 0.5 GB pence per word.
