The Way We Work

We break the manuscript down into chapters and will send one or two chapters back at a time as they have been edited. This allows you to work on them while we work on the next ones and so the cycle continues.

Our reason for this is to cut down on the amount of time it takes to edit the manuscript through the different rounds. If we edited the whole manuscript in one hit you would be waiting for quite a while before receiving it. We would then have to wait until revisions had been made before we could begin the next round.

By doing it our way, we have a continuous circle of work so by the time we get to the end of the manuscript we will already have the early chapters back to start round two and so the cycle starts again. It cuts down on a great deal of down time for both us and you and in addition, the story is still fresh in our minds so we can get back into it straight away without having to re-read bits to re-familiarise ourselves.

When we complete the final round edits, we put the document back together so you receive one single document to final check before sending to a beta reader.

If you have any questions regarding any of the above, please contact us.
